Dive and Sail at Sail Rock

[See image gallery at www.adventure-cruises.net] This dive site is located about 12 nautical miles south of Koh Tao. The top of this tiny island is just 15 meter above sea level and covered by a few scrubs which withstand the harsh sea environment. The dive site is naturally limited to 35 meter in depth and offers a few specials like a vertical swim through. Large pelagic fish, occasionally the whale shark and the manta ray are possible to see.

Sailing to Sail Rock on a sailing yacht it will take up to three hours to get there. then we will spend about two hours for the dive and having fresh cooked lunch before setting of back to Koh Tao. Please consider a total time of 8 to 9 hours for this sail and dive expedition.

Diver certification level: because of the depth level we recommend to hold a advanced open water certification for this dive site. However, or dive guide will be happy to guide open water divers around this dive site to the considered safe depth of maximum 18 meter.

Dive and Sail at Chumphon Pinnacle

[See image gallery at www.adventure-cruises.net] Chumphon Pinnacle is about 6 nautical miles distance away from Koh Tao. To dive and sail the large pinnacle you will have to decent to about 12 meter. Th pinnacle stands on the seabed at about 35 meter. Several smaller pinnacles surrounding the main pinnacle. The rich underwater life presents to you corals, a large number of sea anemone, pelagic fish and seasonal the whale shark. In recent years sitings of bull sharks, a species which was unseen here before were confirmed by professional marine biologists and makes this location as one of the few sites world wide to dive with this kind of fish.

Dive and Sail at South West Pinnacle

[See image gallery at www.adventure-cruises.net] South West Pinnacle lies about 7 nautical miles south west of Koh Tao, hence the name. To Dive and Sail here you need to know that the shallowest pinnacle starts at about 6 meter in depth. Several pinnacles are cluttered around. Maximum depth is 30 meter.

Sailing to South West Pinnacle on a sailing yacht will take up to two hours. We will spend about two hours there for the dive followed by fresh cooked lunch before setting of back to Koh Tao. Please consider a total time of 6 to 7 hours for this sail and dive expedition.

Dive and Sail at Shark Island

[See image gallery at www.adventure-cruises.net] Named after its resemblance to a dorsal fin, Shark Island is a twin rock outcrop situated to the southeast of Koh Tao. Each side of the islet offers a different array of marine life and features making it almost two sites in one! On the east side you’ll find myriad soft corals, gorgonians and sponges while the west offers hard coral formations that are home to moray eels, nudibranches, sting rays and the odd Leopard shark. Titan trigger fish can be very aggressive here so approach with caution. Maximum depth at this site is 25 meters.

Sailing to Shark Island on a sailing yacht will take up to one hour. We will spend about two hours there for the dive followed by fresh cooked lunch before setting of back to Koh Tao. Please consider a total time of 4 to 5 hours for this sail and dive expedition.

What will you get with the Dive and Sail Program

The Dive and Sail program includes the transportation on a sailing yacht from Koh Tao to the dive site and back, diving equipment, one diving tank per person, certified dive guide, lunch and soft drinks aboard.

It is as well possible to do training dives i.e. Advanced Open Water dives under PADI, SSI or BSAC standards. Please inquire when booking for this option.

Generally dive sites are chosen depending on wind and weather and your certification level. We can not guarantee any dive sites fore hand but will do our best to satisfy our clients.
